Full Day PreK

Full-day program (8:15 am - 3:00 pm)
Available 2 to 5 days per week
Students must be 4 years old by September 1st and able to independently use the bathroom
Licensed and accredited PreK Counts Program
Focused learning environment that teaches through play activities
The Pre-K curriculum is focused
on a learning environment that
teaches through play and activities.

Curriculum is centered on thematic studies:

  • weather

  • building/construction

  • animals

  • friendships/kindness

  • jobs in the community

  • social skills

Students interact with materials that support them in their discoveries of concepts and objectives for their developmental stage of learning. They are encouraged to question, predict and solve questions related to the theme of study.

 

New skills are acquired and assessed through:

  • Whole group instruction

  • Small groups

  • Centers

  • Play

 

The whole child is supported through hands-on activities that encourage growth and prepare them for the skills needed to enter Kindergarten.

 

Music, Library, and Physical Education offered weekly.

Pre-K Counts is a fully-funded state grant to have as many students as possible receive the opportunity to attend a quality Pre-K program.
